The Colosseum

I am going to tell you about the Grand Colosseum in Rome. First it was a giant structure. It is so huge it had 80 doors. It was 144 feet tall and it had a diameter of 1,788feet. The Colosseum can hold more fans then Safeco field. Safeco field is where the Marines play. The Colosseum could hold 50,000 people. Safeco field can hold 47,000 people. Wow!!! In the Colosseum there was fighting. The Gladiators are the most entertainment especially when they kill people. Some of the shows lasted a long time like 117 days with 10,000 Gladiators. I wonder how many people were left? Now you now what goes on in the Colosseum?

A Gladiator Died

It is October XV the LXX BC. I am Gaius in the bloody colosseum. Ahala killed Servius a professional Gladiator. It drove the crowd crazy. In the Bloody collossom yesterday at II o’clock there was the biggest fight in the world! It all came down to Ahala the slave from the Gauls. He was a velitis. His spear and no armor help him move fast so he could win. The fans did not like it at all. They let a lion out of the shoot. With a giant growl the lion bit into the flesh of the slave. The slave fought back. He stabbed the lion with his spear. Soon they both died. The crowed shouted hurrah. I will get back to you if any more action comes up. Remember Gaius with the roman games.
