Mrs. Nelson Leading The Parade

Native Work

Native American Halloween

The third grade class has been busily learning about Native American tribes. Students have been researching different aspects of their tribes, organizing their notes, and placing them in a color coded graphic organizer. They should be all ready to begin typing their revised drafts in another week and placing their work in a power point presentation. Below you will find pictures of the masks they created and also pictures of our Native American Halloween party which featured traditional food and games.

10-19

Dear Parents,

We have had so much fun this week and we want to tell you about it. One reason it has been an enjoyable week is because we have started making moccasins. They are made out of crushed brown paper bags. Each of us have our own kind of moccasins because the tribes are different. It is hard making them but they will be fantastic when they are finished. Another reason the week has been great is because we have learned how to write a conclusion. We learned a conclusion reminds the reader about the topic. Our class is doing a great job learning this skill. Finally we recorded our classification song in music. All of us sounded great and we enjoyed recording ourselves. Clearly you can see we had a very busy and wonderful week.

Sincerely,

Your Angel
