Dear Parents,

Hi how are you all doing? We are doing great because we are learning a lot. In this letter we are going to tell you about a few of the interesting things we have been doing.

First we have finished creating our third grade verse for the school song. It was fun making it and we all look forward to singing the song. In the verse all of our names are sung.

Next we have been working on our classification project. We have been making posters that tell about the different classes of animals. These classifications are mammals, insects, fish, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. Our class even made up a song about the different classes.

Finally in writing we have been learning about organization. We have written and read many topic sentences and learned how to create three different hooks. The hooks are a riddle, question, and statement. All of us are going to be awesome writers.

So, now you know what we have done in our class this week and you also understand why we have been so busy.

Thanks for reading

Dear Parents,

What a week we have had! First we have been learning about classification. Classification is how you separate one animal that is different from another. Our class has been divided into different groups and we are becoming experts about different classification. We have even made up a song to help us remember about classification. Another event that has happened this week is we had our first spelling test. Our class scored a total of 125 words correct. We did well but we need to practice. Finally in Mrs. Tompson’s room we have been learning about cursive and typing. On the computers we have learned about home row. Soon we will out type you! Thank you for reading our letter. We hope you have learned a little bit about our week.

Sincerely,

Your Kid

PS

Thanks for making sure your student has been doing their homework. We had all the homework returned this week!
