Letter Home May 2

May 2, 2008

Dear Radical Parents,

We have had a most exciting week and on Friday we got to go on a field trip to Badger Mountain. We saw lots of scat like cow, coyote, and deer. We found a huge ant hill full of red ants with a colony underneath. There was also black ants and Tyler found a really cool millipede. Shanda also found a lady beetle. At the ski hill we did a photo point with a few second graders. Our class had lots of fun!

Our plant experiment is still going on and some of the plants are sprouting while others are getting huge. The one in Tyler’s bag is almost 5cm. We also had a town hall meeting and some of us got ribbons. Colt was the grand prize winner.

Next week we look forward to going to Douglas Creek and doing a creek survey and PH tests. That is about all we can remember about our week.

Sincerely

Your Hiker
